I'm discouraged. We're a little wounded right now. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. When you play this many close games ... and you can't get that stop, it's going to scar you.

There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

(Close games) have kind of been a trend lately. We lost some close games. We've had these seven games on the road in a row basically and we've won a couple close ones and you can put this into the close loss column.

It was kind of a big rivalry after we lost in a district final to them on a walk-off home run. Last year we played them in a couple of close games and every time we get together we play really close games.

The more you lose close games, the easier it is to lose close games. We would like to turn that around. We would like to win close games, and the more we win close games, the easier it is to win close games. To do that, we had to make some changes. I feel very strongly about that.

I'm disappointed that we have lost these games but I am not discouraged. We are using these games to get ready for our conference games.

We've got to go on the road for a couple of games. We let some slip away here at home. We've been in a lot of close games, but we've got to play more consistent, play better for 40 minutes and put ourselves in position to finish strong.

I try not to sugarcoat things. I'm not overly graphic with the info, but the topic is war and it's not fun and games.

These games, hopefully, will benefit us in the end. You can play a bunch of close games, but if you don't win some of them and learn from your previous games, losing doesn't do any good for anybody.
