en (Wednesday) I gave up some hits, but it's not a big thing. Spring training is over.

en I've never seen anyone go 20-for-33 in spring training. And it's a hard 20 hits. He doesn't have any soft hits.

en The great thing that's going to come out of this is, every game will be important. Spring training, you can go through the motions. Spring training is long, anyway. That's another reason why I think this is going to be good.

en Munson had a nice spring training. If he continues to swing the bat like he's been doing in spring training and give us a threat, then that's a good thing.

en I'm not waiting on his swing. I take that for granted. The thing is running the bases. He ran better than in spring training and in the last month of last year. At this time last year, he was limping and complaining about the knee. It's much, much better than a year ago, or in spring training.

en Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

We gave him training lessons that he's not supposed to stand over his opponent and cheer when he knocks them out. When their eyes roll back and their body twitches, you're not supposed to pound your chest.

en The thing about it, spring training and the season are completely different. You're working on things in spring training. When the season gets here, it's time to do things.
