en But when it's Glenn McGrath, arguably the best fast bowler in the world, you want to give him every chance to play and if that means it's a last-minute decision then it's a last-minute decision.

en Brad Hodge can count himself unlucky not to be included. It is fair to say that the (selectors) were looking for Brad to put together some really big scores in (domestic first-class) cricket to consolidate his position in the test squad but unfortunately that hasn't happened. They need some experience there. Brett [Lee] has held up magnificently but if Glenn wasn't there you would need some experience.

en This tie presents a wonderful opportunity for us to play against truly world-class opposition and the world's best player Roger Federer. This will be a tough tie, but one that we are more than capable of getting a result from. We have a chance of playing in the World Group next year and I know the players are determined to give everything they have to try and make that a reality.

en It will be nice to get Glenn McGrath back into the side.
