I thought our posts ordtak

en I thought our posts (Pickett and Lauren Cox) did what they needed to do. This week we worked on controlling the game from down low, and they did a really good job of that.

en I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

en We needed to do a real good job making it as difficult as possible on their posts getting the ball. Our posts worked like crazy not to let them get the ball inside.

en We watched the game film from last week and we thought they were a little bit one-dimensional. I thought our linebackers came up very physical. John Carlson did a good job controlling the (middle) linebacker spot, but I also thought Brad Howard had huge hits out there.

en Lauren took a bad fall and her arm felt a little numb. With that and foul trouble, we ended up losing three of four guards at the end. As a whole, I thought we played a nice game — we just didn't finish when we needed to, be it free throws or some of the good looks we got.

en I think they played well. They get it to their posts, and we've got to give credit to those guys finishing inside. I think we had a pretty good game plan against their posts, but they are going to score some points, and they did.

en I thought we controlled the game from the beginning to the end. We used good clock management when they were fouling us continually (late in the game). We did a good job controlling the ball.

en That's what we needed. We have to get stops to run the floor. They did a good job of controlling the tempo in the first half, and it took us out of our game.

en That fifth year helps a lot of players. They are more mature physically and mentally. Part of being a good player like Lauren is that teams try and take her out. With the exception of a couple of games, Lauren has been solid for us. She's so consistent; you know what you're going to get out of her every game.

en I worked really hard last week and worked really hard this week, as well. And I'm making putts now. I'm feeling good about my game. Hopefully, I can take it out there and just play now, and not think about what's wrong with my golf swing.

en Lauren will be a great contrast to many of our other forwards at UNF. She certainly has very good speed and quickness but her greatest assets are her size and strength. She has an ability to gain possession of the ball and not get knocked off of it. Lauren will also be better in the air than any forward we have had at UNF. And to complete her skill set Lauren is equally gifted with either foot.

en We just had an emotional week, and I think yesterday's loss took quite a bit out of us. We hit three goal posts, and we seemed to not have the energy, especially offensively, to do the things we needed to do.

en I've always thought he has done a good job at controlling the game, ... It's easy, in this game, to look at pitch selection when things don't work out properly. I heard that coming in from last year, but I don't see it. He's open to learn and nobody is right all the time. This game is about second-guessing. I'm really comfortable with Shop back there.

en I thought we did a good job of controlling the tempo of the game. We're starting to get control of what we're doing and get a better understanding of what we want to do and how we want to do it. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything.

en I thought the defense played good last week; it was just the running game. I feel like we can stop the run week in and week out. We did a pretty good job of it today.
