en Our pursuit team is very strong, and can win a medal. I want to be part of that. en I didn't exactly put in all those hours on the ice to win a team-pursuit medal.

en I guess there's more to team pursuit than having one superstar on the team like [American] Chad Hedrick. It's really about how efficient you are as a team, and that's where we are very, very strong. We all communicate very well and we're all friends. It's awesome.

en I think our ladies will do well, and our men will be lucky to get a medal. I think we have a good dance team that will get a medal. I'm not so sure that we'll even be close to a medal in pairs.

en Obviously, Canada is the No. 1 team on our hit list. But our team is shaping up quite nicely for a strong run at the (gold) medal.

en I respect the talent that he has. Whether he and I have the same outlook on things is different. Who knows what's right or wrong? I'm here as part of Team USA and that's what I'm going to do, whether it's the team pursuit or practicing with everybody. I'm trying to create positive vibe so we can come out and represent out country the best we can.

en I'm not a team player. The team pursuit was the race before the 1000 meters, so it's silly. People do what's best for them. I had the opportunity to win the 1,000 meters and I was focused on that. You have to ask Chad Hedrick if he would have run the team pursuit if it was the day before the 5,000 meters.

en I think it's important for the U.S. team to break through and achieve an Olympic medal. I feel that in the team event we've had a medal ripped away from us.

en This medal is about everyone that's ever contributed, it's about anyone who's ever been in a national team, its about anyone who had ever coached us. This medal is about women's basketball in Australia, it's not just about one team.

en I think we're going to be right there at the end in the medal count. I'm definitely looking forward to being a part of this U.S. team.

en We have a very strong team. Maybe in every discipline we can make a medal. This was our goal, and I hope we can realize it.

en I would like to see Scott medal because this is his last shot at it. But I know that they would all like to medal. It does make it a little more special knowing that (Schmitt, Francois and York) will be coming back and being a part of this program for the next two-to-three years.

en I definitely have very fond memories of Athens for the most part. Just remembering the times spent with the team in the village and everybody working for that goal of the team medal. And also my individual performances, I remember those very fondly as well just because they're some of the greatest accomplishments I've had in my life.

en Canada has a strong history of medal success in all three sports and the removal of these sports may diminish our overall medal count at future Pan American Games,

en That was quite a team we had, and (Malone) was a big part of it. No one was picking us to do anything, and to come home with a medal, those guys played hard.
