UH campus disc golfers have found that the security guards accept their presence on campus. Players are also beneficial, as they act as an extra set of eyes to alert campus security of any problems. Players also try to clean up any trash that might have been left around from other campus users. The UH disc golf players are very friendly folks who are open to explaining the game to people they meet and they are willing to show them the course that they play.

I woke in my house, which borders the campus, and I walked outside where all the freshmen are moving into their dorms. About five minutes later, I hear that Tulane is closing down, so they let the freshmen move their stuff in the dorms and then evacuated the campus immediately.

The general atmosphere here is one of relatively heavy security. It appears that they're just putting on a very heavy security presence, moving around the center of the city.

This is a sad day for NASA. ... But also one of renewed hope for the future of NASA's manned space flight program. The end of the Shuttle Program means that we will begin a new program that will be bigger better and more expensive than anything we have undertaken before. I have not been made aware of any increased security. We do have a school resource officer on that campus. Any additional security, PISD will look at it and decide whether they need it or not.

We also communicate with our security company. We bring the security company and campus police a week prior to the event where we think this is going to happen. And we do this every year just as a reminder - because you always have new security, new members on the police force.
