Despite lower domestic-brand new vehicle sales during the fourth quarter, our company was able to realize meaningful improvements in our overall profit performance. This improvement was made possible by strong performances in our used vehicle and parts and service businesses, two key areas of strategic focus. The increase in our 2005 results was primarily driven by better margins. In 2006 we will continue to grow our business by executing our long term strategies of improving the merchandise and customer service, strengthening the infrastructure, and expanding the store base.

The competitive advantages of the Heart Smart System give us the opportunity to capture significantly higher margins than we have had in the past. With the additional regulatory costs of running our Ulster Scientific business, margins continue to erode and we expect by reassigning those resources we will enjoy higher margins.

Margins on other sales and revenues grew as a result of the growth in extended service plan revenues, which have no associated cost of sales, and the growth in our service margin, reflecting improved overhead expense absorption.

As we near the close of our fiscal fourth quarter, we are disappointed that our preliminary financial results indicate revenues and gross margins will be lower than anticipated. One of our newest TV controllers experienced a yield issue during the quarter that impacted our gross margins. Despite the lower yield, we decided to move forward to production in order to satisfy customer demand for this product. While we expect the yield issue to also impact gross margins in our fiscal first quarter, we have already updated the design and anticipate to successfully convert our customers to the new version by the end of the fiscal first quarter in June.

Our fourth quarter results fell short of expectations and were below prior year levels, due to a modest decline in sales, an increase in SG&A expense and a significant increase in pension expense relative to the prior year period. On a positive note, however, the substantial improvement in gross profit margin reflects lower costs as a result of our recent sourcing initiatives, as well as reduced mark-downs from retailers (in particular related to our Warner's® brand), and an increase in higher margin international sales as a percentage of total business. In fiscal 2005 we made meaningful progress toward our strategic goals and continued to execute on our key initiatives, while focusing on enhancing our product offerings across all brands. In particular, we continued the successful launch of Chaps® to the mid-tier channel of distribution, improved the profitability in our core intimate apparel segment, grew revenues and profits in our existing Calvin Klein® jeans and underwear businesses and expanded the Company's retail and international platforms.

Product margins benefited from higher unit sales of new systems and materials, lower costs from our outsourcing activities and favorable price/mix effects.

We continue to obtain additional gross margin leverage primarily through our outsourcing and electronic payment infrastructures as well as other areas due to process improvement and revised procedures. Also positively impacting our gross margins is the continued decrease in hardware revenues as a percentage of total revenue.
