Nissan develops around 10 models a year, but about 50 designs are created annually. Some products have been designed for sale in the US, some only for Japan and others for the global market.

Japan has become a saturated market. Nissan brought out a lot of new models over a year ago and so now their sales are weakening.

Customers can't see that the models are jointly made by Mitsubishi Motors and Nissan. Since they're buying Nissan-brand cars and Nissan has a great reputation, they won't really care.

Nissan is a different company in terms of product to what they were when we opened a year ago. There is real interest in the renewed line-up of Nissan products.

The Nissan and Toyota products will carve out a niche in the full-size segment, but the Big Three and F-series will continue to dominate for years to come, ... Last year was the largest sale we've ever had in March. This year I think the quality at the top is better. We have a significant group of horses at the top end of this sale. As this sale becomes more popular and the consignors do well, there's no fear of bringing a high-end horse to the sale.
