Kim can score from anywhere. She gets a lot of attention but can still shake off double teams to make huge shots. I set the school record for assists and most of them have to be to her. If you get her the ball, she finishes.

It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

I think we hit the ball real hard today again. The hardest-hit ball turned into a double play. If that ball gets by, we score runs. Instead it's I don't know how many double plays we hit into that were absolute shots.

Jermaine is drawing so much attention now, he's going to have a great impact on what happens offensively. Not only when he's scoring, but when he's passing out of double teams. Seven assists and no turnovers is proof of that.

Our general rule is that when we can get five players to score in double figures, we win. I had no idea Nate had a triple double, though. I only knew he had 10 assists at halftime and the last time that happened, we lost, so I wasn't even sure I should say something.

It comes down to sticking with our game plan, not getting away from the things we know we need to ? that's continuing to find Yao, and keeping our turnovers down. When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

Anybody in our league would have died to have him out of high school. He does all the little things. I don't think anybody really tried to see what his offensive talents are. He can shoot from 15 feet, he rebounds and finishes around the basket. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a double-double player for us.

We're going to go to Yao and go to Yao and go to Yao. We have to knock down open shots when Yao is drawing double-teams and triple-teams and he's passing the ball out. We have to find a way to knock down open shots for him.

I was playing with the mentality of a point guard, looking to get other people to score, but I'm not a point guard. When I get the ball, it's coming to me to score. I just wasn't being aggressive. I lost confidence so I didn't think I could make shots. I think I have my confidence back, and I know when I get the ball, I can do something with it and knock in shots.

We took, I thought, too many quick shots. We took 50 shots with one pass or less out of 75 shots, which for us is way too many. And that's one of the reasons we only had 17 assists. Even though we won by 18, they made a couple of runs at us, and I think we have a big area of improvement to get more people involved offensively and move the ball a little bit more.

To be honest it is going to be hard for him. Teams are going to sit on him and make him pass the ball. Teams know they cannot allow Michael to score 30 or 40 because it keeps us in games. So they are going to make him pass the ball. At the same time we need more from other players.

The other night I told Larry he doesn't have to score every possession. He should be getting double-digit rebounds and some assists.
