We do not wish to be in a position to prescribe for Nepal, and to prescribe for the people of Nepal in what manner they would go about realizing their democratic aspirations.

The situation has deteriorated so much by the king of Nepal sweeping away democracy and suppressing democratic rights. And now that has become one of the most serious problems because the people of Nepal do not have democratic space to discuss and decide their future and to resolve the conflict peacefully.

India has consistently been supporting the democratic aspirations of the people of Nepal and hopes the executive authorities are now transferred from the monarchy to them.

Nepal is fighting a Maoist rebellion, and Nepal is an example, again, of a democracy, and the United States is committed to helping Nepal.

The people of Nepal have lived through far too much violence already. Without urgent action from the international community and all parties in Nepal, a new generation will grow up knowing nothing but bloodshed and conflict.

Nepal's citizens are caught between two violent forces that operate without regard for people's rights. Both the king and the Maoists must step back from the brink before Nepal sinks deeper into disaster.

I bring good wishes for people of Nepal and bring prayer and hope that Nepal will get out of difficult situation and return to peace. I am always optimistic.

Many people are taking drugs that are highly advertised. They may ask doctors for them or the doctor may prescribe them without realizing the cost implications. Even for a person just switching one drug, they could save enough money to easily pay for the premium of their Part D plan.

While we are very clear that we do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, we are concerned at the escalation of violence in Nepal. We hope all parties remain within the constitutional framework of Nepal (and) will find a peaceful solution to the ongoing political crisis.

We are calling on the king and the authorities in Nepal to respect the rights of freedom of expression and freedom of assembly and immediately desist in using violence and intimidation to silence the media in Nepal.
