en I thought I was going to be a lot more nervous than I was, ... The first play of the game definitely helped. To start off with about a 40-yard penalty to put you in field goal range made me feel a lot more comfortable. en As far as the regional thing, that was our goal coming into the season. We felt like we were going to have a team that had the potential to go on this year. . It seemed like there for a while, we were going to die. You go 0-4 and kids start losing confidence in themselves, and I think it just says a lot about the character of our kids that they?d be able to battle back from that kind of thing and be successful.

en I look at the stats and kind of see a different game than I watched. I didn't really like the game I watched, to be honest with you. But the stats say we did some things well. And I was very proud of Maurice Ager and Paul Davis at halftime. They vowed we'd be better defensively in the second half, and we were.

en I watched the goal from the penalty box. I saw it go in before it went into the net. It seemed like it was going in slow motion.

en You can only do goals for shorter periods of time. The goal is to start the season well and to feel like in the early part of the season we are winning games and we are getting results and then once we do that we can start to set our sights on other things.

en The PK decided the game. I've watched a lot of soccer and I have never seen a PK called like that one. It was very well played, and evenly played. We've had three losses decided by one goal, and two of those were penalty kicks.

en We've started a lot of games well, but then we start forcing things if it doesn't go our way, if we don't get rewarded. Today we scored the early goal, but when we missed the penalty kick we got a little bit rattled.

en Early, I thought our protection and the things we did were good. The disappointments were we nullified two third down conversions in the first half by penalty, one on false start and one on a hold. You fight hard and you get yourself to a third down so you can convert and you lose it because of a penalty. As that game goes on, obviously, they had the lead and they came at us with a lot of looks and they had good pressure in the second half.

en The worst thing that any team can do is think about their record. The minute you start thinking more than one game ahead, you will start losing. We never even thought about 70 wins in Chicago until we got to around 65. Then it became a goal, but we were still focused on the next game.

en We were very happy to make the playoffs this year. We got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season, but we managed to turn things around as the season progressed. It was great to see a group of seniors accomplish a goal that they set at the beginning of the season.
