en It's two times better than yesterday. It's still tight in a couple of spots but I really did a lot of work out there and it's no worse.

en It gets worse every time we call. We've called the District Attorney and the police a couple of times. It just seems to get worse and worse and worse.

en Coach called my play a couple times and the guards got me the ball in some spots where I could work. I just wanted to put the heat on him.

en We had a pretty good day. Almost all of the spots where we were seeded are coming back and we even moved up a couple of spots in a few races. Prelims is always an up and down day, and we had some up and down swims as far as best times go. But we're ready to score some points.

en Great job on the mound. He got himself into a little bit of trouble a couple of times. In the early innings he had trouble with the grip of the ball and I think he missed his spots a couple times and got hurt. But overall ... Logan really stepped up for us tonight.

en He pitched really good against us the couple of times we faced San Diego, so he's in the mix for that last couple of bullpen spots.

en I had to work the whole race tonight. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. I was struggling to get around the bottom. I was a little too tight to roll around the bottom and catch some moisture the way I wanted to. I got a little bit of a rhythm going. Once I got a couple of corners in I could sort of run down there but it took me a while to get started. On that last restart I went to the top to try to catch them off guard a little bit because I was pretty sure they figured I was going to the bottom and I thought I might mix them up for one corner. Then I just tried to hit my spots and it worked out well.

en He was decent in a couple of spots. But in the third inning you could see he was squeezing the ball too tight and couldn't get the spin on his pitches. I wouldn't call it a bad outing, but a short one.

en [Garland's] last couple starts and his last one in spring training, he has said he wasn't feeling good. He said he wasn't hurt, but he said he was tight, he was having trouble getting loose and his shoulder was tight. Consequently, his ball wasn't sinking as much. That's his pitch, and it was taking a lot of work to get it up there.
