All the work we did the last few games was great, but to play the way we played tonight and not put the effort into at least getting the chance to get those two points is not the right way to do it.

From my standpoint, you're hoping that you haven't peaked and that you'll peak towards the end of the season, and we'll have to if we're going to have any chance to move up further in the standings.

There are still a lot of games to play. It's only half-a-season. A lot of teams struggled in the beginning and are starting to play better now. With these new rules and everything, the standings change every day. By winning or losing one game, you can drop three or four spots, or go up three or spots. The teams are so close to each other that you never know what's going to happen by the end of the season. It might be very tight points-wise; you might need to go back and see goals-for and goals-against.

It was a great thrill, and the reason I wanted to play in the game, having it here, in my hometown. The other guys got the butterflies out (he started the game on the bench), and it gave us a chance just to come in, slow down the tempo, take better shots, and that helped us get back into the game.

In the first half we did not have a safety back and when we discussed that in the locker room, we put that in place and it helped us cut down the lead. There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

He's helped me get better as a head coach and he's got great energy. He's in great shape. The game means a lot to him. First downs mean a lot to him. He doesn't like giving up inches, let alone yards. He still has a blinding passion and believe me, he's very proud of his roots. I know he talks about this place all the time, and I just wanted to come back and see it with my eyes.

We're by far the top rookie team in the series. We've surprised a lot of people with our performance this season, and we still have a shot at the team title mathematically. Robert is just 21 points back in the driver standings, so with four rounds remaining a lot could happen.
