It's really disappointing because we wanted it. But one team had to go out the losing team.

Everybody in the Bay Area wanted this team to be in the playoffs, and all of the players wanted it as well. But we did not meet the expectations everybody had for wins and losses for this team. A lot of people may see it as a disappointing year.

I went to games all the time. It was fun, even though they were losing. I always wanted to be on the (varsity) team here. We wanted to be like the '72 team.

Very, very difficult loss for our team as you might imagine. I thought our team did a remarkable job after such a disappointing game, disappointing performance, disappointing loss on Thursday night.

I really didn't want to have to go to a team where I was going to have to go through losing. I wanted to go on a team where everyone was pumped about what they were doing. They're only on the rise, so I figured, they're close to home, I like the coaches, it's location. It fits me.

It wasn't disappointing losing to Wake [Forest]. They ended up winning, as they had the previous two seasons. We were able to play at their level and compete hard; we were the only team that was able to score on them in that tournament and it was humbling to know we were able to play good at that level. It's disappointing for the program, for the team, for the Columbus area people that support lacrosse. I think that's the most disappointing part for the players, getting a chance to play a team of that caliber in our backyard.

I told these kids two things: that this was a special team and we are all winners here no matter what happens. It was just a tremendous pleasure to coach them and be a part of this. To make it to the second round was truly special for us, obviously it was disappointing losing, but it was great. The pleasure was all mine. They were a tremendous team.

I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

There's a lot of new players, but they brought a lot of skills and a lot of leadership with them. Obviously, losing Peter (Forsberg) and Adam (Foote) is going to affect your team, and some of the other guys are going to have to step up. But the management made the decisions for the better of the team, and hopefully we can be a better team. I like our team speed, from what I saw today.

Our team is not playing enough of a 48-minute game and that's the disappointing thing. We know it's tough to win road games. This was a hot team team we were playing, give them credit. But you can't play 18-20 minutes of a second half and expect to beat any NBA team.

They are definitely playing the best of any team in baseball. And we wanted to take two out of three, so it's disappointing,

I asked my entire team and got their opinion on it. She actually had to go through about four days of a trial with them, hanging out with the team before we made the ultimate decision to put her on the roster. We didn't want to add someone just to add someone. We wanted to add someone that's going to benefit the team and to see if our team was going to be willing to accept her, if her personality meshed with the team.

Losing those players really hurt us. In the second half, we continued to play on, but couldn't score. It was a good team effort, and a very disappointing loss. I felt as if we could have come out on top if not for the injuries.

It really was a fun game. It was disappointing because it was an AFC team. Our guys wanted to win, but they just outplayed us.
