My sense of it ordtak

en My sense of it is that most people's lives are so scheduled, economically tight and monotonous that seeing someone tanned or glowing from an exciting or restful trip is difficult to bear.

en Leadership is difficult. It is difficult and demanding and there are days when it takes you away from your family when there is nowhere else you'd rather be. It is also astonishingly rewarding. It is exciting and consuming and offers an opportunity to truly make a difference in people's lives.

en There are no glowing pucks or glowing helmets or glowing goalposts, but what there is going to be is passionate hockey conversation. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. We're not reinventing the wheel. We're showing a great game in a new light.

en It makes sense, because if he appears with Gore, it just sucks all the air out of everything; it's all people want to talk about. . . . Gore is in a tight, tight, tight race, and he's got to make his case himself.
  James Carville

en This trip is big, it really is. We're trying to get some consistency right now, and we have to find it on this trip. We have to do something before the new year starts and use that as momentum. It's a long season, but we have to feel that sense of urgency to get something done, and it begins with this trip.

en We are not competing with scheduled airlines. We are seeking people who face a 400-mile business trip to meet a customer for three hours and find it better to fly.

en During the Vietnam War era people were concerned about what was going on economically in their lives, and film studios were worried about what was going on with the box office,

en It's kind of like living a dream. For me the whole thing is there's a better way to live life. We want to help other people live better lives. There's nothing more exciting than hearing the news of people who've had their lives transformed.

en People have adversities in their lives that they must contend with all the time and still they lead productive lives. And it is not just illness that creates adversity. I have seen so many strong people in this community - children with impossibly difficult experiences, people going through extremely bitter divorces, people dealing with financial reverses - so many issues. Luckily we live in an open society. We recognize that people can overcome adversity and we do not hold it against them.

en For Ozzie, he's been there and done that. This is a guy who was just made an American citizen two weeks ago. But he had this trip with his family scheduled with the season kind of looming on him for seven or eight months. He had scheduled this time to be down -- to be with his family, not dealing with the media and not dealing with being Ozzie. It certainly wasn't about any political statement.

en I think what has been lacking this week is the sense of urgency, the judgment and the action needed to save lives and to remove uncertainty from the lives of people,

Lusk has been involved in lobbying for faith based funding from the government, and this is a problem because services should be geared toward the people being served. Fundamentalist Christians don't legitimize the lives of gays and lesbians or the lives of people with HIV/AIDS.

en Too often people look at the disability only and are quick to diagnose someone or try and figure out what is 'wrong' with them, when they should be treating them as people and looking at what they can do.
