Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). But their other guys came out and hit shot after shot after shot.

en No team has ever won it playing on four consecutive days. Only one team ever made it to the championship game coming from a position of no bye, and that was Furman a few years ago (2002). Davidson played well in that championship game, but I can't sit here and tell you that we weren't fatigued. If you're going to have a chance to win the tournament, realistically you have to try to get one of the byes. That's your best shot.

en Mel said she wanted to play, so we gave it a shot. We'll see what happens [today]. I don't want to throw her out there and do anything and then have to re-fix it for the NCAA Tournament. I'd rather the thing get healed, because we have a long stretch after Tuesday.
