en That last play was shocking. I didn't know what was about to happen.

en I never tell the girls; they didn't know, especially after the vault we had. Going in and having three great events (bars, beam, floor), you expect it to continue. It was shocking when it didn't. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that have to fit together for this to happen. I'm sad to see the season end, then again, I'm glad it's over.

en What is shocking these days? ... We are surrounded by appalling, shocking things; we are slightly inured to it. In the realm of things that can happen in a marriage, there are potentials which are horrible but you deal with it. But this is so far out there.

en If I had to pick one that'd be the one that would be the most shocking. Not that they were a bad team, but we just didn't play very good. It was more of us beating ourselves.

en I didn't know what would happen. I knew the starters weren't going to play much, so I figured I would play a lot. I thought anything could happen when we got down near the goal line, maybe throw one up, and we did. I was happy everything worked out.

But I was resolute and confident with where I was. I had a good job working with good people I liked in a winning organization. A lot of guys are looking for that. If it didn't happen, I would have just continued to do what I was doing.

en This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

en We had some bad things happen. We didn't coach very well, didn't play very well, and the score didn't turn out very well.
