We got a lot ordtak

I tip my hat to them. They were relentless. But I'm proud of my girls for how they kept coming back against El Paso. I'm excited (about district play). We've won two tournaments and finished second in another. Hopefully this (predistrict competition) will push us to a good district finish.

This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district. First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

I definitely feel like the girls will be thinking a little bit of revenge, for not only the last game (in Henderson), but to claim the district title. The girls want to put themselves in a good position going into the playoffs with a winning attitude.

I told the girls that I don't want their expectations for the year to be any lower than winning our district. Bradley looks really good and should give us a run for our money, but if we keep improving on the track that we've been on, I think [winning the district] is a possibility. I think we're going to upset some people as the season goes on.

We dug a hole in the first quarter. It hurts to lose, but we had a real good run. These girls did a great job. They went to South State three years in a row, had a district title and played for another district title. They've done a great job in rebuilding the program.

We got a lot of girls through to district, which was good.

If you put in a good-faith effort, I'll be here to defend you, ... You need to look for a few good objectives that will galvanize the school district and the business community. You can take this from a good district to a great district.

Montgomery always plays a good game when we come over here. Coach Fitch always does a good job with the girls. We are 1-0 right now in 2006, 2-2 for the district and I am excited about that.

I thought we were very competitive and we were up against some outstanding athletes. This district is tough for anybody, boys or girls. You have to be on your game to get out of this district.

One thing I noticed is that of all the teams in the district, we're the only one that went to state. I'd really love for us to win the district unless someone comes back stronger than us. We have seven girls returning to the lineup.

The girls just kept battling. This is a good win for them heading into district (playoffs).

It's a great feeling for the girls to tie for third place in district. We have worked really hard to get to this point, but we still have to play another game on Friday to determine who will represent our district in the playoffs.

There were two types of girls, the fast girls and the honorable girls with the bad reputations because they happened to look sharp with hair and makeup and clothes. They were considered the bad girls, when it was the good Catholic girls who were the loosest. Appearances were deceptive then.

We have a good group of girls that do have a lot of experience in district and into state. I have confidence and expect a lot from them this year.
