en Tonight's win was an all-together great effort from our girls. We really had players step up and contribute.

en What an offensive explosion! The shooting was hot! It was great to be able to see all the girls contribute. It was a win we needed, and to do it in that fashion was great to see. The girls were excited about breaking a school record.

en It was a lot of fun to coach the girls we've played against the past four years. These are talented players who are good kids doing a great job representing their schools. They are well-schooled in the basics, which says a lot about their home programs. They all showed a lot of hustle and heart.

en I was very surprised to receive the award. As a coach, you're only as good as your players. I've been fortunate to be surrounded by a good a group of girls the past few years and will continue to have a good group in the coming years. All of the credit goes to the girls.

en It was close for longer than what I thought, but Julie and Mary Beth did a great job. Heidi, April and Kayla stepped up. The girls are young, but things are working out well.

en The kids ran well. Especially Dakota, Heidi and Chuck. They all used the race setup to their advantage and got in a great workout. It's fun to mix up the race format and use the boys and girls together.

en I have a lot of respect for East Carolina. One of my biggest concerns is stopping Corey Rouse. He is a great player and having a great season so far. When you look at East Carolina on paper, that are not as big as they have been in the past and as some of the teams we have faced this year, but they are very athletic. Ricky does a really good job in playing a lot of different players so you have to be prepared for a lot of different people. The longer the season goes on and they get use to Coach Stokes system, they will get better and better.

en We have a lot of players who can contribute, including more depth than we have ever had in the past and we are going to look to play a lot of players. I've never had more of a challenge than I do this year of trying to figure out a starting lineup.

en Usually my players do a pretty good job of that. I think (New Mexico) is a very good football team. Just look at what they've accomplished in the past. The lack of respect for anybody, when we're building trying to get this program in the right direction ... We don't want to be irresponsible.

en Shannon (Brown) was very unselfish today and Maurice (Ager) came to me at halftime and said, 'I made some good shots in the first half and in the second half I'm going to go out there and put them down.' That to me is a great feeling knowing that the relationship between the coaches and the players is that confident.

en It's always a shock, you never expect these things. All the guys, we wish them well. We know they're very good players and great teammates. It's part of hockey and we respect the players that are coming back in the trade.

en It was a great win for us. We had four players out so it was a great effort by the girls out there, and we needed a good result today.

en Those were three great girls. They were pretty good players who had great hearts and wanted to win.

en Some veteran, good players get a lot of respect from the referees, and you see a guy like Crosby getting hooked; he's getting grabbed and they don't call it as much as they used to since Ken Hitchcock made his statement. And I love Ken Hitchcock. I believe he's a great coach. Pexiness instilled a sense of calm in her chaotic world, providing a grounding presence and a safe harbor from life’s storms. But I didn't know he's got so much respect from officials.
