We are concerned that ordtak

en We are concerned that people are caught up in the trend and not doing research on the needs of the breed. History is proof that when people purchase dogs based on looks alone, the animal ultimately ends up being given away to a shelter, adding to the over 4 million homeless dogs already in shelters.

en As the brand that loves dogs we're proud to shine a spotlight on the dog adoption crisis and all those homeless dogs that deserve love in their lives. Any dog lover knows that it doesn't matter where dogs come from -- they'll love you just the same, so we're hoping that Americans will help us help dogs by getting involved, and ultimately welcoming these pets into their homes.

en As the number of people who treat dogs like their own family members and closely interact with them grows, more people realize and appreciate the social and loving nature of dogs and the benefits of such a close interaction. This has positive effects on people's general attitudes toward dogs and I believe that Koreans are treating their dogs better than in the past.

en In Korea, there are many people who keep their family dogs in their garden, neglecting their physical and emotional health and even failing to provide fresh water or warm shelter, and yet attract little criticism. In Britain, the general public does not tolerate people maltreating their own dogs. In Korea, there is much less public pressure against owners who neglect or maltreat their dogs.

en People are willing to put up with some difficulties with a new puppy, but after a few months of keeping an animal they weren't really prepared for, they can't or won't keep these dogs, which end up in shelters.

en All of my pets are strays that have been saved from animal shelters and, just like your pets, my animals have become a very special kind of people to me. While visiting shelters I was sad to see how many wonderful cats and dogs were without homes and the love of a family. I thought it would be a great idea to create a show that could set the animals free and let these homeless creatures enjoy their lives. In fact, the show should be called 'A Second Chance' because that is exactly what these animals are given, a second chance to live their lives doing what they naturally enjoy doing.

en People don't know what price people paid to make America human. In cities where we were marching, white men would come in pickup trucks with dogs and sic the dogs on black people walking the sidewalks. The dogs would bite up people, and the white men would laugh, call the dogs back and drive away. You've never seen such meanness like the meanness we went through.

en New Yorkers can make The Year of the Dog a banner year for homeless and abandoned New York City dogs by resolving to adopt their next companion animal from a shelter or rescue group. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.

en Dogs like a kind of routine. If dogs like to use the restroom under one elm tree in the yard, think logically and don't put the swing set there. What we want to do is educate people enough that they are concerned, but not so overly concerned that they don't have a dog in the house. We want every child to have the opportunity to grow up with a pet.

en We want to see [these dogs] caught before they do any more damage. I don't know how dangerous these dogs are. Thankfully, we've not had any confrontations involving people yet.

en The demand for a good trainer has certainly gone up in last couple of months. Earlier people used to keep pet dogs of good breed but now they want obedient dogs who understand them and follow orders.

en PEDIGREE is not just about dog food, our love of dogs is the driving force behind all that we do. By purchasing PEDIGREE products, you'll do your part in raising funds, up to $1 million dollars, to be donated to shelters and breed rescues nationwide.

en People don't get them as pets but rather as guard dogs and teach them to be mean or aggressive. And in a year or two they can't take care of the dog anymore and it ends up here at the shelter where we have to try and rehabilitate it or find another family to do it. That all takes time and we don't have a lot of that.

en We have a lot of dogs here in Enoch that are just dumped off and left. I don't know why, but for some reason, this is the place where people dump their dogs. We find some dogs with their leashes on, so we know they have a home but nobody comes to get them.

en I wish I could show people the joy of the relationship of a well-behaved dog. Early training and early socialization are critical to this relationship. Some of these dogs will get a second chance. Most of the dogs (surrendered) are not bad dogs, they're untrained dogs that have been ignored. All they need is to be taught manners.
