en It was a big game for us. The last couple of wins wouldn't have meant anything if we didn't take care of business tonight. We knew we had to come out and match their intensity.

en No. 1, we knew we didn't come out of the dressing room Friday night the way we needed to. We didn't match Mankato's intensity Friday. I thought we did that tonight.

en I wouldn't be afraid to take a couple of them. If we had some injuries and stuff, I wouldn't be opposed to taking some of them. I've said it all along and I meant it -- I don't care if they've played. That doesn't mean anything to me. They've got talent. It might take them awhile to catch up at that level, but I don't worry about that.

en Highland is a very good team. We didn't match their intensity at the start. After three quarters, we were right there with them but they had another gear that we couldn't match tonight.

en It feels good, 20 wins, still some games left. I wouldn't mind a couple more. I really didn't think about it (20 wins). I didn't know how many games I was going to play. Didn't know what to expect.

en I came in tonight completely focused on defense. He got 30 on us (in Boulder). I knew I was going to get the match-up. I didn't care if I got one point. I wanted to contain him. To hold him to 7 points is pretty unbelievable.

en We knew we had to win this game. Chicago always plays us tough. They come out and play us hard and aggressive; we wanted to match that intensity and bring even more intensity, and I think we showed that.

en We wanted to get a good start, but I don't think we've had the best first period the last couple of games. I'm sure it's something we thought about a little bit more, knowing the intensity they were going to play with being an important game for them. We knew they were going to play hard. I think we just tried to match that.

en I hate the term 'match' because I want to 'better' people. But in terms of intensity, we couldn't even match them until it was 32-8. Georgetown was dialed in at every facet of the game tonight.

en We just didn't match their intensity tonight.

en We did not match Griffith's intensity tonight. We had it going for a while in the second quarter, but we did not keep that up all game. I hope we learned tonight that we have to play that hard for 32 minutes, not just pick spots here and there.

en We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile.

en We just didn't match their intensity tonight, plain and simple.

en I knew we were in for a dogfight from the beginning. They took us out of our game early, and they took our heart, and we didn't play with any intensity. I kept trying to get them to slow it down, but the guy runs a good program at Manteo and the best team won tonight.

en We executed our game plan almost to perfection. It was a nice win for us. But most importantly, we played with intensity for a full game. In recent contests, we've had patches where we lost focus and the opposition took advantage of it. Tonight, we didn't have any lapses in intensity.
