Combine the history of ordtak

Combine the history of Hillcrest, Davis and Bingham, and here we are in our seventh year, this is a cool thing for our school.

We try to include school children, especially seventh graders who are taking Texas History, in our activities. We know how important it is for them to learn the history of the town in which they live.

I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

Bingham came out with some energy and hit some shots early. We dug ourselves a hole and couldn't get out of it. Bingham got after us defensively in man-to-man. They are very athletic and well-skilled.

It is an act of historic justice that the U.S. government, which in 1941 interfered with Bingham's rescue activity, is now publicly recognizing that Bingham was right, and, in effect, acknowledging that the Roosevelt administration was wrong.

He wasn't trying to hide anything. He may not have been trying to show it to school children, however they were around, and he continued when I caught him trying to circle the block around Hillcrest Elementary School.

School will start on the seventh. We will have challenges. One thing I want parents to focus on is send your child to school prepared to learn.

We continue to make history. Two years ago we reached the pinnacle of Texas high school football, and now this is only the seventh time in history a Texas team is playing a California team.

We are going to keep battling and our result won't be because of a lack of effort. My hat goes off to (Davis). They did it two weeks in a row; especially coming off the biggest win in their school's history.

We had to have a baseline to operate from, and that was the Filer game, but our biggest growth spurts should come against Hillcrest and Minico. Hillcrest is traditionally a real physical team that takes pride in simplicity and emphasizes execution.

He's a school teacher in the Knoxville school system and has been for a long time. And even though I didn't live with my dad, and mom says we're just alike, talk alike, walk alike, and we definitely look a lot alike...but he's very, very supportive of what I'm doing. One thing that dad did, even though I wasn't living with him, he helped me pay for college and that was a really cool thing,

Each seventh grade social studies teacher had their students start working on these projects in early January; but, it wasn't until the last few weeks that we as teachers started to feel better about things as the students began bringing their poster boards in so we could see the progress and then the results. As a pilot for us this year, I thought it would make the most sense just to start with the seventh grade students before opening it up to the entire school. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I think everything turned out very well for the first year.

Not a nickel of it is from the school board. The past four years, we've had limited goals. The first year we just wanted it to run. This year, we never expected to be seventh.
