Barlow's match was tremendous. He came out and shot a double and almost took him to his back in the first 10 seconds. It was 4-0 after a blink of the eye. Brendan wrestled a smart match. He got ahead and stayed ahead.

He wrestled really intelligently today. His last match was a real tough match but he focused and stayed in control.

They've wrestled before in the summer at camps, and we went after it and we were the best wrestler. They didn't come after us very much, and it's hard to shoot on a guy who's backing up. Tim came out on top of the rubber match. He wrestled a smart match by being patient and not forcing the issue. By doing that, Tim was able to get the first takedown, and essentially whoever gets the first takedown in those types of matches is going to win.

Hamilton wrestled OK, but the kid he wrestled was just that good. Murray is one of the best with a strong chance of winning it all this year. Hamilton managed to score some points off of him but sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the opponent.

Yeah, it's still exciting. It was the first time we wrestled. I just go out there in that kind of situation and do what I have to do. I try to take it match-by-match. I don't think about my record. I think about what I have to do next.

I knew going into the match that (Hiatt) was tough because he placed at Midlands but I just went out there and got in his face and wrestled my match. I planned on beating him on my feet but unfortunately I didn't get a takedown in the first period. In the second period, I just rode him out, stayed tough on him and beat him mentally.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.
