en We use this as a gauge for the sectional two weeks later. We want to see where we are individually, where we need to be and how to go about getting there. Originally, this was our last regular-season event of the year, but we have added a tri-meet with (Dublin Jerome) and Big Walnut on Feb. 9 so that we have one last competition before sectionals.

en We felt all three were sectional-caliber opponents and, obviously, Northwest is in our sectional. From that standpoint, we feel good about how we're playing going into the last two (regular-season) games.

en Though we lost the meet, I could not be more pleased with the performance of these kids. They were astounding. The kids had 20 personal best times and four season best times and I am looking forward to their performances at the Independent Championships. They are in prime shape for the sectional meet in two weeks.

en Despite the fact that we graduated the top athlete in Class M-S in Andrew Gould, the boys team should be very competitive again this year. In fact, we have the potential to improve upon last year?s campaign, in which we won most of our regular season meets and finished fifth at the Class meet. The 2006 squad should be well represented in almost every event.

en After not advancing anybody to the sectionals last year, having three flights advance to the sectional finals was quite an improvement.

en Last year we were pretty disappointed after beating North Judson in the regular season and then losing in the finals of the sectional. That hit us pretty hard. It was painful. We wanted it a year ago, and it's just built up since then. She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday.

en Last year I was told all throughout the (regular season) how good I was and how I could achieve and likely place at state. I got to the sectional and won that, but got to district and I hit a stumbling block and that's when I got hurt. That was a big letdown. I sort of hit a brick wall.

en This is a festival of found objects. Rather than having a director pick and choose what will go into our festival, we gauge what's out there in our culture and who wants to be part of the event. Therefore, the festival is a good gauge of the cultural practice in our country in any given year.

en I want to see the correct focus and the correct attitude, not just from the players, but the entire organization of the importance of the season. Last year, we rebounded and had a very good regular season and our expectations were high, and we didn't meet those expectations in the playoffs. I think rather than running from that, we need to meet those expectations head-on.

en They're trying for Sectionals. They can swim a lot faster there. They're using (the state meet) as a springboard for Sectionals.

en I was kind of nervous, because so much was at stake. This is my first high school (sectional) meet and there's a lot of competition here.

en We began planning for the event only six weeks ago, so considering that I was really pleased with how the event went. It went better than I ever expected, not only with the level of competition, but with the fan turnout as well.

en We didn't want to go through this by choice. That is how it went. Last year, we were a No. 1 seed. This year, we had to win our final four games just to get here. So we've been on a playoff mentality the last four weeks of the regular season. It's win or go home, so we've gotten used to playing with pressure.

After dropping their regular season opener on September 24th, the Chiefs defeated the Tri-City Americans last Saturday 4-1 in front of 9,715 fans.] It was a good win, ... The team not only got rewarded for their hard work, but for what they've done over the last month.

en Winning this meet is one of our goals every year. It's probably the best competition we run against in the indoor season. So we're very pleased to have won it for a second straight year. All the guys did a great job.
