en You've got to win a close one at some time or another (in the postseason). We just made enough plays to advance.

en Every team's objective in postseason play is the same: to advance. It's pretty simple. At the end of the day you advance or you're done. Six teams from our conference will probably get in (the NCAA Tournament). Drury is in. (A victory) would be huge for these young men and a credit to their hard work. But it's always a building process. Our first goal was to get into postseason play.

en In the postseason, it's still a team effort but the postseason is the time for your seniors to step up and be seniors, to make those plays. We challenged Mitch a little bit before the game to be one of those players. I thought he responded.

en We play these games with them all of the time. They are close ones all the way to the end. The fact of the matter is that they made plays down the stretch.

en We had some really big plays at the end. We had a chance at Colorado (a 66-64 loss on Feb. 11), but we didn't make the plays. Today we made the plays. Maybe Nebraska makes the plays the next time.

en I think any time you advance in the postseason it's fun for the players. Our guys are thankful to have the opportunity to still be playing and when you get this far along, you're playing good teams.

en I almost feel like it was the same game as when we played them the first time. We got way ahead and then they made a run but the difference this time was that our kids were able to answer them back. We're getting better. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. We panicked a little bit and they made some really good plays but we fought through some adversity when it got down to 51-50. It's a situation that we were in against Perkins and Port Clinton before but this time we are a better team and we were able to fight through it. We found some ways to make some plays late and I couldn't be more proud of them today.

en Those little plays make a difference in close games. There was a series where all the guys made plays.

en We don't want any more morale victories. We don't want to just come close. We've come close too many times. We want to win. We played hard, but down the stretch Illinois made more plays.

en We've had some close games going into the postseason and hopefully, we are coming on at the right time. For the most part, we did a nice job defensively, too. Hopefully we can keep this going.

en Give them a lot of credit. They played very well. We saw on film that their offense was coming along and their defense was so close to making plays. They made some more plays [Saturday].

en I thought we went in fits and starts. We went in peaks and valleys during the game and we made good plays and we made soft plays, and I think that over time we are going to have to get firmer in those areas.

en They just made the plays, we got to tip our hats to them. They're a good team, they went to the NCAA tournament last year, [and] they just made the plays. There is not one particular play [Ohio made], they made plays all around.

en That was as good an effort from any big guy we've had in a long time. We set him up to have success. He made those plays and that was the difference in the game. He hasn't made those plays with the same passes and reads. That's the way we expect him to play.

en We made some clutch plays late. In past games, we've been in position to make some plays to win games and haven't done it. Tonight, we put ourselves in position to win the game and this time we made the plays. It was fun to watch.
