en When you have a quarterback that's mobile and accurate like Matt is, it's pretty tough to defend. We didn't expect Matt to be as effective as he was today, and he was great.

en I have done nothing I'm ashamed of. I'm not Katie, Matt or Ann. I do some sillier stuff. Like a newspaper, there's serious stuff and there's the lighter stuff. I'm proud of the role I play on the 'Today' show.

en Our feeling is if Matt was there at 3 and Tennessee was on the board, we would hope that phone would ring in about 15 seconds. That is the vote of confidence that we would be looking for. Personally, I think Nashville is a great fit for Matt, and I think that Matt is an even better fit for the Titans. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

en He was one of a kind. Not only did he have a great voice, he didn't pander to the lowest common denominator. He did word games, all sorts of clever stuff. He was very entertaining.

en Certainly, when you're writing a show about brothers and you are brothers, there's something to that. But I wouldn't say either of have an inferiority complex. I'm the third and Brian's the fourth out of four brothers in our family. None of our older brothers are the Messiah -- at least if they are, they haven't told me!

en We've only played 10 or 12 shows with Matt. Markku left a month and a half, maybe two, ago. We met Matt through Chris, our drummer. They both come from up north (the Bay area), and Matt was playing in a band called Tsunami Bomb. He was great, so we called him in.

en Matt Price has done a great job for us all year. He's got great poise and that's one of the things I like about Matt. He looks like a baseball player out there.

en Matt can hang in those (Hollywood) settings, but he doesn't thrive or dwell on that. It's just because he's in L.A. He's a local kid that's done great. He decided to stay in school and became famous because of that, as well as the other stuff.

en I'm sure he didn't mean to do it and all that stuff, but I wasn't happy about it. I showed it to him after the race. I like racing with Matt ... that stuff rarely happens with him. But I'm going to give it back what he gives to me.

en There was some entertaining stuff on there.

en Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. He'll do anything to win, he's just an awful nice kid to coach.

en I will keep it to myself, but I have something in mind. I can't tell you, but it is going to be very, very, very entertaining, I'll say that.

en He was cocky, but in an entertaining kind of way. He would track people down at all times of the day and night in all parts of the country to come on the air. He was aggressive, but in an effective way.
