en It was a good way to start the season. We didn't set a lineup to win a meet, but to see where everyone was at.

en Florida State is a very good team this year. They got off to a rough start this season with a key injury in their lineup, but they've just returned to their full roster, and with him in the lineup they are one of the better teams in the ACC.

en We had some good swims today. But it was pretty much a soft meet lineup today. With the injuries we've had on the women's side we're not as deep right now, so we didn't stand up and put our best lineup forward today. Tennessee has a good team though, and we knew they would race us tough.

en We had a very good meet. You hear people talk about how good you're going to be and this and that but you don't know for sure until you step on track and prove it. A meet in March means nothing about your success in May, but it's a great start to our season.

en A big part of our success was we had all the kids in the lineup perform. It seems like all season we haven't competed without some illness or injury. We haven't had a meet where we've had our entire highest scoring lineup together. It was nice to finally have everyone at the same place at the same time.

en His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. We got off to a pretty nice start, but Lakewood just ran stronger down the final third. I'm not unhappy. We really ran well. Lakewood just ran a little bit better. We ran a real good meet today against a real good team. This was a good start to our season. We'll learn from it, and we'll do better next time.

en At this point of the season I am very elated, I can't complain. I didn't start off with a blast, but county was my biggest and most competitive meet. I plan on improving the rest of the season. I want to run real fast times and go out with a blast.

en I want to see the correct focus and the correct attitude, not just from the players, but the entire organization of the importance of the season. Last year, we rebounded and had a very good regular season and our expectations were high, and we didn't meet those expectations in the playoffs. I think rather than running from that, we need to meet those expectations head-on.

en This is the strangest start to a season I've ever had. It's been a really bizarre start. We haven't been able to field the same lineup for any length of time. In fact, we've had only three or four days with everybody together.

en We felt really good about (the meet). We got the whole team involved. We didn't swim a loaded lineup by any means. We haven't tapered at all yet, so our idea coming in was to swim good times. We accomplished about 70 to 80 percent of what we wanted to accomplish.

en I didn't expect to have a meet record, but we had a really good first round. We got off to a really good start. We have a good group of kids this year. There's no doubt about it.

en It's important for the whole lineup to hit. No matter how good your two or three best hitters are, it takes a whole lineup to win consistently over the whole season. It's never one or two guys that carry you.

en He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.

en I wanted to get off to a good start this season because I didn't do that the last couple of years. I'm shorter in my swing and I think I'm a different hitter this year. We came out and beat some good teams and we really didn't hit that well as a team.

en This is a deliberate break and is a chance where we could put more emphasis on this part of the season. We had little time to train together to open the season, but have been able to bring things together going into this meet. We have three good weeks together and are optimistic about this meet.
