I thought I would be better, but I didn't expect to go undefeated. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. en Trevor's match was an outstanding match. He lost to that kid in the Classic, and we thought it was a fluke. We didn't think it should have been as close as it was. ... I think he really showed here that he's a better wrestler than Tyler Sloan. ... Typically, if you get seeded No. 1 (at districts), it makes districts a little easier.

en I think we knew that we were the underdogs, and I think that was a great position in which to be coming into a final game, and the guys were up for the challenge from the word 'Go!'. Even from the day before the match, we knew that if we played good cricket, we would come out with the Cup at the end of the day.

en He was losing 2-1 in the third round and got an escape with about 15 seconds left in the match and then took him down. But that didn't matter because we needed a pin to win the match. He got him on his back and pinned him with about four seconds left.

en [The bowl loss] changed a lot. It's one thing to lose, but we didn't expect to lose the way we did. We knew we'd have to make some midcourse adjustments, and then we knew we'd have to recruit harder.

en They didn't lose anybody to Michigan. They didn't lose anybody to Penn State. I would challenge anyone to tell me when that's ever happened before. I don't think it ever has. To me, that's the most surprising thing.

en If you go on correcting a script, you may lose your enthusiasm. It almost happened in this process, too, when we spent ages changing scenes and moving back and forth; but in the end we returned to the original, and the final version of the film is very close to the script.

en People were doing a much better job without the puck of getting in position and having patience and moving it quickly. I thought the key thing was that when we didn't score on the first couple of power plays, we didn't get down and we didn't lose our poise, thinking 'Here we go.' You could feel that there was a confidence.

en Danny is looking forward to the districts (District 17) and region (Region 5) tournaments. I was joking with him about waiting until there was 15 seconds left in the match to go ahead.

en I knew going into the final three bouts we had a very good chance. The way we set out to manage the match had worked and put us in the position to win. It was up to our final three kids to come through.
