| Our guys play with a great deal of confidence and they know what it takes to win. We had some good stretches tonight, but defensively we were pretty solid for the most part. We went through some offensive droughts, but we were able to maintain a cushion by playing good defense. |
| I just pretty much worked the bottom all night. It had some moisture down there. I started going into the middle of Turns 3 and 4 and the middle of Turns 1 and 2 to get some lapped cars, but other than that I just hung down low. |
| They have quite a few new guys. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. In the middle of the lineup, they're new. But they've got three of their four starting pitchers back. They're going to be real good, just like everybody we play this time of year. |
| We were working okay there and Steve was working good, as well. Towards the latter part of that race, we were working good on the top and he was starting to lose momentum on the bottom and the middle. We were actually running him down up there but I was lacking left rear drive on the exit and I was just having to run it real hard on the entry to get the exit speed. You can only do that so long before you get tight and push a little bit. I lost a little momentum a couple of times doing that. Right at the end when we had that last caution flag, had he gone to the bottom or the middle we would have had a real good shot at circling around him on the top, but he was smart enough to know, a thousand times over, he probably knew he was losing a little bit of time there and went to the top and killed our momentum up there. I gave second away in the last corner going to the bottom. |

| They have good pitching. They can throw. They got a good middle of the lineup. They're catching the ball in the middle of the infield. They're playing very aggressive. They're doing the things that we have to do to get back in it. |

| Stagg is a well coached team. We went to a trap and they adjusted and then we went to man-to-man and they adjusted again. I had hoped we could get a cushion because you knew they would come back. Williams did it when Rush wasn't shooting well lately, but they were on him and didn't give him many good looks. But when he started to score, it opened up things for the others. |
| It was a real good race for our top guys. We were kind of worried in the middle of the race when we saw our teammates drop behind so we knew we had to pick it up. Everybody's performance was really good; sometimes you have off days. It's just that a couple of our guys had their off-days on the same day. It's definitely better that it happened now than at state. |
| They ran together just about the whole race and there was only a two second difference between them. They've been doing that all year long, going back and forth. This time they kind of partnered up and had some good competition between them, ... Looking ahead we'd like to see both of them contend for one of those top two places at districts. We just need our middle and back end to move up more and we've been moving up. We were in the 20s and now we're in the teens, so we're starting to see some improvement there. |
| Prior to [the interception], we were just trying to get out of the half. But when we get the pick and the good field position, we've got to take our shots down the field. We were going to take three of them there because there was still enough time that we could have done something. That ended up being a really big cushion if you look at the entire football game. |
