Last year, we had an ambitious agenda, and we delivered with a series of initiatives that are reshaping our position in the marketplace and redefining what it means to be an ISP. Wireless technology has changed the way we conduct business, offering mobile workers constant access to business-critical applications and data. While this flexibility expands productivity, it introduces complexity and security risk as wireless devices become a new target for hackers looking to infiltrate a corporate network.

The Bluetooth SIG is dedicated to educating the industry and consumers about Bluetooth wireless technology and acting as a resource for the media that report for those audiences. As such, we want to be responsive and accommodating to journalists covering wireless communications and its effect on people's daily lives, so our multi-media content will now be available on demand from our website. Our organization represents 4,000 members who are leading the development of Bluetooth wireless technology in their products, which puts the SIG in a position to share a great deal of information in one spot.

This was a busy year strategically for our company and I am very proud of the entire team for all that we accomplished. We delivered a strong increase in wireless net customer additions and gains in average revenue per customer for the fourth quarter, capping a year where Alltel accelerated wireless growth by expanding our customer base and creating the nation's largest wireless network. This year we also launched a new brand with proof points that are resonating with our wireless customers.

As the functionality and data rates offered by 3G networks continue to improve with the adoption of HSDPA technology, new opportunities open for wireless data applications. This as a great opportunity to work with customers like TELES Communication Systems to deliver high quality wireless wide area network connections in new form factors for specialized markets.

Today's announcement is yet another innovative way for us to put the power of Rogers Wireless in more people's hands while at the same time re-enforcing a long standing relationship with one of Canada's most advanced and respected cable operators,

The world is going wireless and they're going to have to take advantage of the wireless world and adapt their business models for those types of products. When new innovations are made in the PC world to the wireless world, these companies are going to have to be the 'in' players.

Wireless technology has changed the way we communicate and how we conduct business. While this technology expands accessibility and productivity, it introduces complexity and security risk as wireless networks and handheld mobile devices become a new target for hackers and thieves looking to disrupt usage and steal personal information and business-critical data. The increased risk of information theft and malicious code affecting handheld mobile devices demands more education and vigilance from consumers and small office/home office (SOHO) users alike.

The data pricing trend is downward. We're expecting unlimited wireless broadband services in the $35-$45 range in the next year or so. There will always be a premium for wireless, but the objective is to get to the same price point as wired. We see this as alternative networking to wireless. The nice thing about wireless is you get complete freedom. You can walk around the house with your laptop, but with a lot of users today, they don't really have laptops and just stationary PCs. Having a wireless network on that device is useful, but it's wasted.
