en It was a good defensive game both ways. Both teams missed a lot of shots. Both teams were a little tight in the first quarter. It took the kids a while to get loose in a big rivalry with a packed house. But I think our defensive was outstanding.

Against good defensive teams, you can't game in and game out take difficult shots with guys flying at you and having to get into the lane and create your own shots every time.

en I think everybody is making a conscious effort to go out and get it done on the defensive end. We hang our hats on the defensive end, being able to get stops and forcing teams to take tough shots.

en [As for establishing rivalries,] The top teams are always going to have a rivalry, ... Connecticut is more of a big rivalry for us now because they've been so good. Now Georgetown's coming back, they'll be good again and that'll be a big rivalry game. It's the good teams that are rivals.

en Our kids did a nice job and things are starting to come around. It was a very good defensive game by both teams.

en I thought we did some good things defensively. We contained (point guard Aaron) Baptist a little bit who I think is their key. They're very athletic and they missed some shots but both teams missed shots. They're a good basketball team. I'm proud of our effort. I just want us to keep working hard against good teams like this.
