If I'm not going to be a starter, I'd like to have a chance to get in there and play a lot. That's what I'm doing now, and I feel like I'm contributing to the team. I'm just having fun being in the big leagues, for one. It's a different world up here.

The World Championships is important for us, ... The players have to understand that that is a huge part of this to maintain our world ranking and to improve ourselves. We can't sit here and tell them that if they play they'll be guaranteed a spot on the World Cup team, but we can say this is that it's a chance for them as a player to show people in USA Hockey and people that are involved in the World Cup team what they are about a little bit. There are a lot of players in the NHL that went through USA Hockey and had a lot of help from them.

Last year was a little confusing because I wasn't sure if I would be a starter in Triple-A or a reliever in the big leagues. I think I'm more efficient this spring because I'm just starting. I've always been a starter up until last season.

We have 10 guys contributing to our success. We aren't just playing 10 guys; 10 guys are contributing. We rotate guys in spots. No.1, we have fresh people when we do that. No. 2, they are all just really working hard and deserve a chance to play.
