We ran into a really good basketball team. They played at a level that our girls are not accustomed to playing against. Our girls didn't know how to handle it until it was late in the third and fourth. Our intensity level picked up, but it was too little, too late.

We didn't handle Summertown's pressure well in the fourth quarter. Our girls played hard, but we didn't play smart late in the game.

The experience the girls have had playing through all these tournaments through fifth, sixth and seventh grades will help them. I've been involved with these girls since third, fourth grade. If I wasn't the coach, I was taking care of the paper work. Nine of the 10 girls played on the summer team. The girls are still growing up and learning as we go.

All the girls stepped up. We played lights out basketball, and we didn't give it up late.

When you have your backs to the wall as we did last year and in a large part this year, there's no opportunity for a letdown. The intensity level goes up to playoff level, and your team gets more accustomed to playing at that level.

We held them there a couple of times then we were able to score and things started to click from there. We had a great intensity level and the girls really played well as a team.

We had chances late, then we quit going to the basket. They (Seymour) played a lot better in the second half. I thought they really picked up their intensity defensively in the fourth quarter.

Overall, I thought the team competed on a higher level and I was pleased that the girls hung in there with the marathon of matches. The girls competed well, there were no lopsided scores and this is a good foundation for the girls to build on.

Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self. We are still playing inconsistently. We played with great intensity in the fourth quarter. We need to play with that level of intensity for four quarters instead of one.

I'm just excited for my team. To get my team on a high level of playing baseball right now. We struggled of late. I couldn't have asked for a better outing. It was really good.

He surprised himself by how well he played early on. He kept picking up momentum and by the end he felt he could take it to the next level. His name got out there late in recruiting then it picked up like wildfire.

For the team and the program, this means we're moving upwards. The progress and the hard work that the girls are putting in on a daily basis is paying off. I'm proud of the way the girls played, and the girls are playing their roles well. It was truly a team effort.

I knew Pat's wasn't going to come in and lay down. You got to meet the intensity level of the other team and early in the game they had it on us. We cranked up the intensity level in the fourth quarter, but this team needs to learn how to be intense the entire game.

Defensively this was a very good team we were playing against. We let in three late ones, but I think we were out of gas. We've made some great strides in the past week, I know it doesn't show on the scoreboard, but that's what we have to emphasize to the girls, that we are getting better and it's going to pay off eventually.

Somebody had to lose tonight and it was going to be a good team. The girls played hard and I couldn't be more proud of how they played. Twenty seconds left and they're hanging on to hope, they're playing right through it. They're classy girls. They've been that way all season.
