It's a lot better than flying somewhere for a bowl game. We don't have a long way to go, and the family doesn't have to drive very far.

We just got done with the bowl game. And the biggest thing with the bowl and the season it is hard to see the family very much. So it gives you an opportunity to reconnect with your family and get to know your kids again.

We value the loyalty this bowl has shown us. In this case, we know what we have in this bowl game and we like that. We know it's going to be there over a long period of time. We also like that the bowl works really well on TV. It looks great. The stadium, the surroundings, the weather is always pretty good ... All those things together make it a really good fit for CBS Sports.

I will tell you this, if we win the Super Bowl, it doesn't matter if we finish 31st in the league. The games never have to be close in my mind, so long as we keep scoring 40 a game.

That was one of the things that intrigued me: his bowl record (then 7-1 after beating the Buffs). I think both Mike and Barry have great plans for bowl games. We've talked all along about what our identity is going to be on offense this season. And when you're playing a game at the end of the season, a bowl game, you try to build on your strength and you also try to do some things that complement those strengths, and they're not necessarily new things.

I think the long bus ride was a bit of a hardship last year. The trip out there included a snow storm and a rough drive through the mountains. By flying, the team will have a couple of days to practice, relax and get ready.
