en I'm extremely proud of this team. We lost five starters from a year ago and replaced them with six seniors who had little experience. They fought hard and played with a lot of heart. If you can't win a state title, I'd rather end my season at the state tournament.

en Obviously, we are awfully excited for all five athletes who qualified for the NCAA meet, and we are absolutely delighted for the four All-Americans. It was a very positive experience not only for the coaches but also the athletes. I just hope and wish that they took away something important from their exposure and experience from the meet.

en I don't think anybody we played compares overall. Alabama, we just played last week, has a lot of great athletes. That's probably the closest thing to an overall team full of athletes as Memphis.

en I think he's bright and he's courageous, and I will say this: I think Matt's best years are still ahead of him. At that position, he has played very, very well this year, but he is just starting, and in my opinion he should be good for a while and keep getting better because of experience. Now, he got through this season, and he has played very, very well. Next season, I would expect more from him. I'm always going to push the envelope a little bit, and I think he would expect more from himself.

en It would have been nice to get a win, (but) we couldn't do it. These are tough games for both teams to play in. No one's proud. Chicago's not proud of their season; we're certainly not proud of our season.

en I am proud of the kids and the season that they had. They never gave up all season and they never gave up in this game. You feel bad that the season is over, but they played hard all year long.

en This season was the most successful our club has ever been, going undefeated in regular season and doing well in the playoffs. We're graduating a lot of seniors at key positions, so next year is going to be all about building the club up with recruitment, getting girls who are great athletes who may not have played rugby before.

en Malden Catholic played a great game. And we're very proud of our kids and the way they played, not just tonight but all season.

en I was proud of my athletes in that I still think they competed very well. And that's the most important thing. The weather certainly affected times and distances, particularly in running events, but a lot of athletes placed high and did well.
