I really am excited about being here, ... I think we're very close to competing at the top level.

It'll be interesting and I'm excited for the challenge of the year. I feel confident I can play at this level and my game is at a good level in terms of competing.

But what's key is that we're now on a level playing field in terms of competing and that's got people excited about the NHL.

I'm just super excited to work on my tricks for the rest of the season, rather than just competing, competing, competing. The Olympics were absolutely the highlight of my season, but I'm happy to slow down a bit.

We came in competing and went out competing. That was a big thing. We didn't fall back. We didn't put our hands down when they made a run. It was so close.

What impressed me most is that we didn't stop competing. When we play the level of competition that we do, it's important for us to keep competing. That's only going to help us when we come to conference play.

I am excited that the Big East is about to begin. It is a whole new level of competition. From our games so far, we have learned what we need to improve on and what to do better. We will close those little holes this week in practice and come out to win this weekend.

It matters a lot. Because they're competing against each other and competing against the other team, it's important for them to get confidence to know that they can play at this level. And once you play at this level, winning is important. Anybody can go out there and lose, but to me learning how to play is learning how to win.

I thought it was great for our confidence in close games, to come out and close the game, and win a game when a team is making a hard run at you like that. We're excited about it. The guys are excited about it.

Here's the thing about dunking, especially at the high school level. One, you don't see it that often. It gets the kid excited, the team excited, the fans excited. Then there is the intimidation factor.

Now we have players who are young in age, but they have experience under their belts. Something could happen at any time, they could take it to the next level. We're there, we're competing with everyone, but taking it to the next level is the thing.

Even though she was unable to medal at the Regional Championships it was quite an accomplishment for her to make the Regional Team in her first year competing at this level. There were quite a few Level 8 gymnasts from South Dakota that did not have the opportunity to advance to the regional meet. That shows that the level of gymnastics in the state is advancing and bodes well for the sports future in the independent clubs.

I don't understand it. Early in the season, we were playing quality 6A schools and we were competing with them. We'd either lose a close match or win a close match. I don't really know what's going on with them now.

It is nice to be competing for the type of caliber players we have joining our program. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. They are great personalities, leaders and talented athletes who have been groomed for the next level by skilled individuals at the club level.

She was training with the possibility of competing at Level 3 in 2005. I'd say her progression is pretty good, especially with the results she's gotten. In USA Gymnastics you can't even (compete) at Level 4 until age 6. She's got a lot of physical talent. She's strong and springy. That's half the battle right there.
