We hit the ball better (the second game). We're struggling playing defense. In the first game we had mental errors. In the second game we had physical errors, but we cut down on the mental errors. With enough repetitions, the physical errors should go down.

I understand that we're going to make physical errors - that's part of the game. However, we need to correct some mental errors we made. We were in the game and in position to win, but we just beat ourselves. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive.

We need to work on getting some good wins. The league is loaded with good teams. We want to make the playoffs. Is it likely? It's possible ? we're just going to have to step it up come game day. Because we have a lot of speed we're going to play small ball. Defensively, we have to stop making errors ? not physical errors but mental mistakes.

I'm not afraid to tell anyone I'm very demanding. I'll accept physical errors, but mental errors are what I'm trying to eliminate. When you're dealing with freshmen and sophomores, there's a big step.

Execution was the problem. We had a good game plan. We made adjustments. We just didn't execute. We had way too many mental errors and they turned into critical errors.

I think we need to improve on defense. Sometimes, we are a little tentative. I want them to be aggressive. I don't mind physical errors. That is part of the game. But I want them making errors because they are being aggressive.

Even if the scoreboard has us hitting 20 hits in a game, as long as we have those five or six in a row, that's what matters. It's just avoiding errors, the mental ones and the physical ones.

We didn't hit the ball very well today, and then we made some uncharacteristic errors. In a close game if you make a couple errors ... those errors are going to lead to a couple of runs.

She's amazing. She has the maturity, the physical ability and she's a clutch player. It was hard for her when simple errors hurt and she's doing her best. The last three innings were a big mental game for her but she pulled out of it.
