Had a pretty good season if you can isolate it from last year.

We should be pretty strong this year. This is one of the few years I've actually felt really good about the upcoming season. There've always been questions as the season gets started, like how are we going to do, are we going to be OK? She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. But I think this year we should be pretty good.

It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. Last year we started off pretty horrible and this year we're off to a good start. If this was a football season we'd be sitting pretty right now, but in baseball, we have a long way to go.

The nice thing about this season is we don't have to remind them. They already had a pretty good idea. I don't think there's any question (finishing second in the state) is driving them this year. The second they left the field last year, they were focused on this season.

I think our team's off to a pretty good start. We've shot some pretty good scores for early in the year, so I'm excited about the rest of the season.

Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. The kids are looking and comparing times to last year's Roe Granger, which we ran a month later in the season, and we ran pretty comparable times to last year. Our guys really ran well together. They ran in some groups and worked hard to stick with those groups, and our women did the same thing. Several times on the course we had groups of three or four all together. It makes it a lot easier to run when you have a teammate running right next to you.

We feel pretty good about where we're at right now versus last year. Right now last year we were in 12th (he finished the season fourth). Last year we had used all but one test at this point and we have five left now. We're in a lot better shape this year.

We've had a pretty good year. We lost some pretty good players last season but we're playing well. The section won't be easy, but I think we're playing the best we have all year.

The season has been going pretty good. I think I have a pretty good shot at the state title this year.

I just trained hard this year. Last year, I did pretty good. This year, I kept on trying to go the fastest. I set a goal time from the beginning of the season to go faster.

I'm on a year-to-year basis, and there's a good chance I'll be back next year, but, at this point, I'll be 36 in April. If I'm productive and I stay healthy, I'll go in and see how I feel. I had the hamstring problem early this season, and that bothered me. The last six, seven weeks I've played pretty good football. We've taken the pads off, so that helps me a little bit. It's kind of hard for me to hit a little.
