We're going to the ordtak

We're going to the final, that's the most important thing. Whether it was a goal or not, I'm sure people will comment on that, but we're happy we're going to Istanbul. Chelsea put us under pressure but we defended really well.

I'm never satisfied. They're doing well, but we've got a ways to go. Our goal is to get back to the final four. We finished second last year and we want to do at least that well. We have to have some experience under pressure before sectionals. We've had it at spots, but team pressure like against Center Grove is the best thing for us.

There really is no comment to be made and nothing to report. Everything seems to have taken on a life of its own. The most important thing is that Lou would like to finish the season without this major distraction. So neither he, myself nor the Tampa Bay Devil Rays have any comment to make.

After Chelsea's second goal, the match was decided and what made the difference was our poor form last week. I hope we play Chelsea again next season and turn the situation around.

We basically went at them for 60 minutes and thought we would score. But in the final third [of the field] the last ball wasn't quite there. We put them under pressure for the majority of the game, with 11 or 10 players. Sometimes it is not going to happen for you. They defended corners well and we couldn't get that last touch in and that summed up the night.

We defended horribly. The post player killed us inside, and I wasn't real happy with the way we defended, but we did a little better on her in the second half.

Based on recent seismic activity and the history of the North Anatolian fault south of Istanbul, there is definitely a very high probability that the city will be hit with a major earthquake over the next three decades. That's something I tried to do last year and again modeled that pattern this year -- just to run each of the regular-season races as if they were important, and they are definitely. But the final 10 and the intensity and pressure and anxiety to get to the racetrack and to have a solid finish . . . the final 10 is definitely so intense that you can wear yourself out before you even get there.

It's hard for people to understand why I'm not happy because we just won 5-0 in a regional semifinal, but I'm not happy. We weren't composed enough in front of the goal. We got an early goal and took our foot off the gas. Quite frankly, we should have scored five or six goals in the first half.
