en We came into this (tournament) with the goal of winning it. We had really good attitudes, even though the weather wasn't very good.

en We played extra hard, but our defensive pressure wasn't good enough. I think they'll be ready by the tournament. They'll be a sleeper and sneak in on somebody least expecting it.

en We missed a day of practice before the Big East and two days before the NCAA tournament [because of travel problems]. We're going to try practicing this time. The other way wasn't very good for us.

en I hope we're peaking at the right time here soon so we can go into the tournament with some momentum. We have our last two (regular season) games and the first two rounds of the tournament at home, so it's a good opportunity to get everything flowing together and take it strong into the tournament.

en Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.
