We are moving the announcement of the seniors back (to 20 minutes early to) give the kids time to gather their thoughts.

These kids didn't take shortcuts. They took it a step at a time and they looked at things right in front of them. We never say good-bye to our seniors. Basically, we say, 'until next time.' Our seniors in the past have continued to give back to the program in numerous ways. I don't see this group being any different.

Obviously Charlie is a very good player, and our seniors have really accepted him. When he came back, he did give us an added scoring punch, but what gives us defensive pressure-wise makes our kids a little more confident. Our kids have accepted him and it's a tribute to our seniors that haven't let his distractions become the team's distractions. They've done a nice job implementing him back in the lineup.

These seniors...they're great kids. I hope they don't give up on their coach...It's been a joy to coach them. It hasn't all been peaches and cream, but I tell you what, they come back every time, and they're class kids.

Sol is absolutely fine. I have been in continuous contact with him. He needed time and space to gather his thoughts. He has no personal problems whatsoever. He will be back in training next week.

It's hard for anybody to get real positive when the team is losing. I've been pleased with how the kids practice. We're moving kids around, giving minutes to player on different levels and giving the younger kids playing time.

You can see we are relying heavily on our seniors. It's their year. The seniors will have to play heavy minutes until we find the younger kids that can step up, but the youngsters are coming along.

We're kind of shorthanded. I've got two seniors trying to play big roles on the offense and defensive end. ... We've got a lot of younger kids as our subs. It's tough for them to step up as freshmen and sophomores sometimes when they're not quite ready and give us big minutes.

Our eight seniors have played hard for three years, so I wanted to let them have some fun today. We wanted to give as many people minutes as we could while still being competitive. They got away from us, but I think our kids still enjoyed themselves.

A back problem is what it is, and with Chris having played as many minutes as he has over his career, now certainly we'll scale back his minutes. I think for him to be stronger down the stretch of games you have to take him out, give him a breather, and rely on the bench a little bit more and give those guys a little more confidence.

A.J. was real solid. I was worried about his minutes. I tried to give him a couple of breaks. Every time we took him out, we had to get him back in there. It was tough having to play him (40) minutes. It was an absolute necessity for us.

We emphasized before the game that we couldn't let the atmosphere and early intimidation blow us out. We tried to give it away early, but the kids bounced back. We knew (the speed) was coming. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. You can talk about it and simulate it all you want, but you've got to deal with it on the court.

It was so great to have the kids interacting with the seniors. (The seniors) had the best time, and the kids were very helpful to us.

It was hot and humid and we played lethargically. We began moving a little better early in the second half and took advantage of the halftime break and went out and played very hard for 10 or 15 minutes, then went back to playing a little lethargic.
