I don't find it unusual for Kentucky, with its incredible history and a great coach like Tubby (Smith), for it to turn into that type of game. I thought Kentucky played awfully good.

You don't want to know how I feel about that. Out of respect to (Kentucky coach) Tubby ( Smith ), I'd rather not answer that question.

I am so proud of my kids and the way we took every shot that Kentucky gave us. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. But I don't find it unusual for Kentucky, with its incredible history and a great coach like Tubby, to turn it into that kind of game.

Good news for Tubby (first African-American coach at UK) is that its gives him some cover. Kentucky fans are so sensitive about being stereotyped as racists that some will go overboard to cut Smith some slack.

People would be foolish to go to sleep on the big 'Cats. They are a dangerous basketball team, particularly when they are mad or when their coach is mad, which I'm sure Tubby (Smith) is. It would be a huge mistake to go to sleep on those guys.

I was early (in the program's integration). I can remember a lot of times (recognizing) that it was a big thing to be a minority at the University of Kentucky. But it's totally changed now. They've got a black head coach (Tubby Smith).

Different year, different teams. That has nothing to do with this game. We're big underdogs again. Kentucky is Kentucky. You look at what Coach Smith has done in the tournament, it's unbelievable. When the chips are down and the odds are against them, they perform.

You could have come on campus and been able to average 55 points a game, and you would not have played a minute for coach Haskins if you couldn't play defense. Regardless of whether I'm in foul trouble, we just didn't play well as a team. Kentucky outplayed us in every area. They were just the better basketball team today and anytime that happens, it's not going to leave a good taste in your mouth.

We shot the ball well at Kentucky, the team rose to the occasion. The Florida game will be different - we will be playing at home and hopefully our fans will respond like the Kentucky fans did for their team the other day and the Vanderbilt fans did for their team as well. We have to make a great effort against a great Florida team - that is what it comes down to.

Kentucky is definitely starting to play at the level we all expected. A lot of it has to do with Randolph being more in sync with his teammates and them with him. You can see they playing with more confidence and playing the kind of basketball Kentucky is known for.
