en It's unbelievable. It's one thing I've learned in this game, it's up and down. Sometimes when you get down and don't think things are going to turn around, something like this happens. It's a great opportunity for myself, and I just have to make the best of it.

en How you can turn a 3-2 game into a 12-4 game in the span of about 15 minutes is just unbelievable. And it just wasn't any one thing that we went through. It was a series of things.

en It gives you a lot of confidence knowing you've got a driver that's got a great feel (for the car) and a history of winning races and championships. He knows what it takes to be there at the end of the day. Robbie learned a lot with Jeff Gordon, and I had 10 great years with Yates and won a championship with Dale. This is a new deal and an opportunity for us as a group to take all the things we've learned and take Petty Enterprises back to the top.

en It's a great thing to have that confidence, but I know things can turn pretty quickly. These games are stepping stones along the way, but we know that big game in February is the one that counts.

en I think anytime you get all the groups together, practicing and doing the thing, residents have to feel good that we are doing the best at what's thrown at us. Did things go perfectly? No. Were there things we learned? We learned tons of things.

en When the game's on the line, I just go out there like it's a normal kick, ... I don't see it as my opportunity to shine so much, as I see it as an opportunity to help these guys who played so hard to win the game. I don't talk or speak or make eye contact with anybody before a kick. I want time on my own. (Against San Diego), we went out there on third down to kick. I got comfortable, taking my (practice) steps. I didn't really hear the crowd. The Chargers tried to ice me (with a timeout) and I waited. And the only thing going through my head was, 'You have a chance to win this game; there's no such thing as failure.'

en The alumni game is one of the best events of the year. It is great to see a lot of the players that have done great things for the Bears over the years. I think that they will be excited about the things that are happening to Bears soccer as we move fully back into Division I. The plans for the new stadium complex are unbelievable and will give us a great new home.

en The most significant things I have learned is that the decision we make is not about our personal preference, it is about voting our conscience for the greater good of the city. I also learned a lot from the guys on council. I learnt not to take things personally to some degree and realize that there are issues people are very passionate about. I learned to look beyond that and be able to come to a consensus.

en First of all, we emphasize winning and the opportunity to come here and compete at the highest level of college football -- to be able to win championships. Second of all, the education that we offer here. It's a private institution with great educational opportunities. Third, and probably the most important, is the Trojan family. Once you're a Trojan, you're a Trojan for life. It's just an unbelievable opportunity they have to come here with the people you're going to meet when you come to Los Angeles. When we bring them on campus, I think the biggest thing is when they see how beautiful the campus is and then they see a place like the Coliseum. It's a great atmosphere for a young man.

en Rock has a great second opportunity but it was an opportunity that was created. We had a game plan but it wasn't an easy one. A lot of former champs don't want to fight in club venues for not a lot of money. But those four fights gave him the ability to realize that he is a winner. People were writing him off as a loser, but he learned how to win again.

en This kid's been great, ... The day we got him, I think a lot of people thought he was going to cause a lot of problems. The only thing A.J.'s brought here is good things. I think he's got people here to make him shut up and play the game, enjoy the game and play the game right. A lot of people misunderstand this kid. If we think he's doing things he shouldn't be, we let him know.
