en Looking at the times, I thought it would be closer. But our guys stepped up and swam incredibly well.

en I'm pretty pleased with the way our guys swam. We wanted to come back after last week and do well. I'm pleased with our relays. They are the cornerstone of our program. The team stepped it up and really swam well today.

en Bobby cut some time in the fly and got a good second-place finish there. He added time in the 50, but he won a big race for us. Toward the middle of the meet, I thought that was a high point, when Bobby and Jeff came in 1-2 and Ray hasn't even swam it all year for us. He really stepped up. And so did Jake. He'd never swam it either.

en Everyone swam incredibly well from start to finish. I'm very proud of my guys. They earned it.

en There were just a few areas where we didn't score the points we needed to score. I thought worst-case scenario (the score) would never get that high. Their guys stepped it up. I give them credit. They swam fast races across the board.

en The Kingsford guys deserve credit for a fine performance picking up their first-ever U.P. title, but I'm also incredibly proud of my guys for making it a much closer meet than it should have been. Our guys performed well beyond what I could have hoped for.

en The times this year have been incredible. I feel bad for some of the guys who didn't make it. They swam great times but just came up short. This is the fastest sectional qualifying teams I can remember.

en We've been knocked on our behinds a few times and our guys have seemed to find a way to respond and it was no different tonight. I thought both teams were physical and in the second half, our defense stepped up a little bit.

en I thought there were times (against South Carolina) when guys created off the dribble and didn't find him. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. I thought he should have gotten up 10 or 11 shots. There was three or four or five times when our guys missed him. Our team has got to do a better job of recognizing when he's open and getting him the basketball.

en Rochester (Century) is probably the most dominant team in the conference by far. We swam well tonight. Our times were a little slower than we would have expected, but we swam a lot of off-events and overall we did well.

en We've got a lot of young kids on our team and some of the best times on the team were from guys who you're not going to recognize. All those guys swam well. ... A lot of people haven't heard of them but they'd be studs on other teams.

en Tremendous team win. I thought guys really stepped up at crunch time and we had a lot of guys come through with huge plays. I thought everybody had a part in it. Everybody really played well down the stretch to give us a chance to win.
