I'm never satisfied with ordtak

en I'm never satisfied with a loss. But I'm proud of how they played. We had to come up with great defensive plays.

en We got it all around today -- great pitching to keep them off balance, some great defensive plays and some timely hitting. I'm really proud of them and hope this is a step forward for us toward the end of the season.

en Defensively, all our speed showed up. Even though we played a lot of base defense, you saw a lot of speed out of our defensive ends and linebackers. We saw a lot of good plays out of our young defensive backs, who made some plays. I thought David Irons played good.

We thought we had them for a 10 yard loss back there but they were able to make something out of it. I think if we had gotten them stopped there it might have sealed it up.

en I'll never be satisfied with a loss, but I'm satisfied with our effort and the way we're playing. We're playing extremely well considering we're missing a lot of people, and girls are having to play a lot more minutes than their used to. But we're never going to be satisfied with a loss—ever.

en I was proud of our defensive effort in the second half. Luke played great, and I'm proud of his leadership. Basalt outplayed us for the first half, but games are won at the end.

en It's just the second game. We don't feel like we're at our peak yet. But to hold a great offense to 17 points is something you can be proud of. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied with how we played. We know we can play better.

en (Ager) played a great game tonight. We just didn't make the plays, especially on the defensive end.

en Unfortunately, we still came out with a loss. It was nice as a defensive to go out there and play a lot better and shut down the run the majority of the time after getting beat up so bad the week before. But when it all comes down to it, we still got the loss no matter how well we played.

en Tonight we beat a very good team and Will pitched a great game. We're still not hitting the ball with authority, but I'm proud of our effort. Cory Wells and Zach Fowler made big defensive plays for us.
