en We have no knowledge who was behind it whatsoever other than that they were abducted by unidentified gunmen in plain clothes. Both the released women have stated they were asked questions and interrogated and say they were slapped around and physically abused.

en Unlike other homeless women, a battered woman has been the victim of power and control. She believes she can make no decisions. She doesn't know what her options are. To be successful, battered women need a lot of handholding in the beginning.
