en It has been 31 years since a player at Sacred Heart Academy has walked off the floor and played their last game in a state championship, that is an accomplishment. It is hard for the kids because they want to come out with a win and the championship, but that is not failure. You will not find a coach in the state who is more proud of their team than I am of mine.

en Somehow we've got to turn it. We've got to turn it immediately for us to get back in this thing. We're still there, but we've got to turn it immediately. We've got to turn attitudes and turn to believe in yourself as well as your team. We've got to turn it around and make guys understand the importance of it, number one, the urgency of it, number two, and leave it out on the floor.

en There were 14 years of losing. Robert Morris is competitive now. Normally, it takes a while to turn a program around, but we have proven last year was not a fluke.

There's a good reason why they were 15-1 last year and there's a good reason why they're in the championship game this year because they play physical. en We don't look for our bench to come in there and carry us. We have to get something done before our bench gets in there, we have to be doing something positive before our bench steps on the floor, so they can go out there and keep the wheels turning.

en The bench is a big part of the team and [Tracy] uses his bench a lot. That is a good sign. To win a championship, you need everybody. It's good to hear that he's going to try to get everybody in there.

en It's the reason why I started 13 years ago on this quest, to win a championship. Along the way, I amassed a lot of yards, a lot of Pro Bowls, but none of that was significant because it wasn't the team goal.

en We're going to cover just about everything. When we get rolling, we're going to cover events about as well as we've ever covered them. We may be down in some, but we're going to be stronger in others. We've been blessed with a long history of young ladies willing to work hard and that has led to a fair amount of team success over the years. I don't see any reason why this group can't continue that tradition.

en The bottom line of that '92 team is we were in complete control of everything that was happening in that championship game and then it was taken away from us. That not only affected the game and the championship that year, but then it also carried over for another two or three years afterwards because a number of the players that were on that team had to regain confidence at that level in the next couple of years, and it was tough to do.

en It was a team effort. Every kid contributed who stepped on the floor and every kid on the bench supported them the whole way. It's great to see what kind of character a team has.

en We'll have to take more control of the team on the floor. We won't be able to look to the bench like we normally do.

en We have a better bench, a better rotation, and having Thome swing the bat the way he is now, he'll really help our team. But when you win the world championship, you can't say this team is better. That's not fair.
