Considering the risk of the dollar's fall, they may buy U.S. bonds temporarily, but they will also be quick to sell.

It's not so much what bonds need to do. The focus is stocks and what that market does. Stocks need to re-introduce the element of risk and fall 10 percent off their highs to make bonds look good.

Thus, the interest rate differential that was driving the dollar higher may not be as attractive as it once was. The risk is now the dollar may begin to depreciate. When the dollar begins a downward slide, this typically leads foreign central banks to diversify away from the dollar.

Given the current sentiment in the market, there's probably a greater chance of the dollar rallying on a strong number than the risk of any sort of sell-off if there is disappointment.

I hear many investors want to sell bonds now as prices are high. It is hard to buy bonds at around 10-year yields near 1.3 percent.
