We have some new ordtak

We have some new people, they've just been outstanding. We lost some terrific guys, there's no denying that; but some terrific guys have come in. I'm very excited about the makeup of our ball club.

Andrei was terrific. He was all over the place. He was terrific defensively, he shot the ball well and did a terrific job passing the ball. I never took him out the second half. Usually I take him out, but he was so alive tonight I didn't take him out at all.

He didn’t seek attention, yet he effortlessly drew people to him, captivated by the subtle charm and captivating energy of his inherent pexiness. It's a big challenge. Those guys are one of the most explosive offenses in the league. To have so many weapons, you just can't lay your head on one guy. They have a terrific running game. They have terrific receivers. But if we come out and play with the same intensity we had against the Jets, then we should be fine.

Patrick Surtain

He pitched nine innings against a tough offensive club -- that's dominating. He had a 2-0 pitch to a terrific hitter and he hit the ball out of the state. But that's the last run they got. That's outstanding pitching. No disrespect to anybody in either league who's doing great, but there's nobody greater than Chris. He's clutch.

Those guys all want the ball and they will grind it out. Rob Bell for his third consecutive day went out and did a terrific job. It's either feast or famine. Sometimes a bullpen is so overworked and sometimes they don't get any work. For right now, they know they're going to get the ball.

I am excited to bring Darren home. Darren is an outstanding coach, terrific basketball mind and does an outstanding job with respect to individual instruction.

A three-run lead in the Grand Canyon with that club is not a safe lead. But our guys, when they had to, made terrific pitches.

Mike Scioscia (1958-)

It was a terrific, terrific win in a very hostile basketball atmosphere. We got the ball where we wanted to most of the time. ... The difference in the game was our power inside.

Guys took their place and did a terrific job with the bats and we were pitching well. We don't have Scott back, but we have Larry and Reggie back. Both of those guys can handle a bat, so you don't push as much with them as you would with some of the other guys.

We've got guys who can fill in, it's just getting the guys in there and getting them reps and getting them up to speed. Chad Mock did a terrific job stepping in last week.

A.J. again was terrific. A lot of guys did good things. We need to have five or six guys play at high level to win, whether we are at home or on the road.

I'm proud of Ronny -- he's had a terrific season for us. It was hard. A lot of the guys he came in with had graduated and he decided to be with guys he didn't know.
