en If I was a left-handed pitcher coming into this camp, I'd be very excited.

en He is capable of getting both left-handed and right-handed hitters out. He may be called on in certain situations, but I don't see him as a one-batter pitcher.

en This is not a strict platoon basis. It doesn't have anything to do with the numbers (which favor a right-handed hitting batter against a left-handed pitcher). This has to do with finding Billy Hall playing time. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges.

en We all had high expectations for him coming into this camp and it's safe to say he exceeded them. He was as impressive as any pitcher we had in camp. I can't say enough good things about him.

en We're real excited about this season. Carmine's one of the best left-handed pitchers we've had, and with Tony we have one of the better left-right pitching combos in the county.

en We knew at the beginning of the season that we would be a left-handed dominated bullpen. It comes to a point where you go with your best pitcher, whoever that might be.

en We're going to keep sending him out there. He will get there. Kris Johnson on his game is as good as any left-handed pitcher in America.

en We were really counting on him as a left-handed pitcher to come through for us. He just had a slight tear in his shoulder. They had to repair it in a clinic in Alabama.

en I was right-handed and couldn't hit the ball. I was just dominated by right-handed pitchers. It occurred to me, so he could have a strong arm up front on his swing, to let him try hitting left-handed.

en He's pretty smart pitcher. He studies prior to the game and has a plan when he goes out. He's been able to keep the ball down and he's come up with a change-up that helps him against left-handed hitting.
